Meeting between Foreign Minister of Armenia and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy
14 April, 2026On April 14, in Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Kaja Kallas, the Vice-President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The interlocutors discussed initiatives towards consistent implementation of the strategic agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership.
A detailed discussion touched upon the substantive preparations for the upcoming Armenia-EU Summit to be held in Yerevan in May. The agreement on implementing programs aimed at delivering tangible results for the citizens of Armenia was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas also discussed initiatives aimed at the continued strengthening of democratic resilience, which constitute an important part of the value-based Armenia-EU partnership and its strategic agenda. In this context, agreement was reached on ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of targeted mechanisms aimed at supporting democratic processes.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy underscored the importance of implementing mutually beneficial projects to enhance economic and transport connectivity, as well as to promote cooperation in the energy sector.
During the meeting an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place.
