On March 23 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Lee Sokbae, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia (residency in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

During the conversation following the presentation of the copies of credentials, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on the assumption of his tenure, wishing him success and effective work during his mission.

The interlocutors commended the active cooperation established on bilateral and multilateral platforms and expressed their willingness to continue deepening political dialogue, as well as cooperation in trade, economy, technology, energy, culture and other areas of mutual interest. 

During the meeting, views were exchanged on regional developments. In this context, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia presented steps aimed at the further institutionalization of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In the context of unblocking of regional communications Mnatsakan Safaryan underscored the importance of the new opportunities that will arise from the implementation of the «Crossroads of Peace» initiative of the Government of Armenia and its key component, the «TRIPP» project.
