Meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia
04 March, 2026On March 4, in the city of Sighnaghi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili.
The interlocutors discussed topics on the agenda of the bilateral partnership between Armenia and Georgia, emphasizing that the preparation and successful holding of the session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries constitutes yet another manifestation of the dynamic cooperation.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Maka Botchorishvili touched upon the situation in the Middle East. The Ministers highlighted the importance of efforts aimed at reducing tensions and addressing issues through peaceful means, underscoring the advantages inherent in a peaceful environment. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia stressed the importance of cooperation in providing possible assistance to citizens on the ground through the resident embassies of the two countries in the Middle East.
During the meeting, the views were also exchanged on opportunities of regional cooperation, as well as for the engagement within multilateral formats.
