On February 24, on the sidelines of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council convened in Geneva, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Megi Fino, the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania.

During the meeting, the avenues for enhancing the framework of cooperation between Armenia and Albania within international organizations were touched upon. The parties deliberated on the opportunities for joint efforts on issues of mutual interest, including within the Human Rights Council.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan briefed his counterpart on the efforts carried out ahead of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Yerevan this year.

At the meeting the steps aimed at advancing the bilateral agenda between the two countries, including by fostering political dialogue and intensifying consultations, were also touched upon.
