On February 17, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan participated in a discussion with youth organized by the Restart Foundation, bringing together around 200 participants from Yerevan and the regions.

At the outset of the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan briefly presented the main priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia, as well as Armenia’s key approaches to regional developments, the continued consolidation of peace with Azerbaijan, and the advancement of partnerships.

Subsequently, Ararat Mirzoyan provided detailed responses to nearly two dozen questions of interest to the participants. Through an active and frank conversation, all important foreign policy issues were discussed. Among these were the consolidation of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the normalization of relations with neighbors, the further expansion of existing relations, and the development of strategic partnerships across various directions.

Among other topics, regional unblocking initiatives, including the new opportunities opening up for Armenia through the implementation of the TRIPP project were also touched upon.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia’s balanced and balancing foreign policy is grounded in the principles of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, the consistent promotion of mutually beneficial relations, and the advancement of Armenia’s development agenda. In response to questions raised by the youth, the Minister also touched upon the phenomenon of hybrid threats, their manifestations, and effective approaches to countering them.

Considering that the meeting with young people in this format took place on the eve of “Book Day”, Minister Mirzoyan concluded the meeting by presenting books to the most active participants in the discussion.
