On February 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Jacob Helberg, U.S. Under Secretary for Economic Affairs.

The meeting was also attended by Gohar Abajyan, CEO of “Enterprise Armenia.”

The interlocutors discussed ongoing and potential new initiatives aimed at the consistent development of the Armenia-U.S. strategic partnership. Both sides emphasized with satisfaction that the bilateral Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors, signed in Washington on August 8, have formed a good basis for interaction, and tangible manifestations of cooperation are already present.

The interlocutors expressed readiness to continue active efforts to promote investments along the path of expanding Armenia-US cooperation in the high-tech sector and economic cooperation in general, taking into account the experience already formed in these fields in Armenia and the rapidly developing ecosystem in the country.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Jacob Helberg also touched upon other areas of mutual interest, in particular the prospects in the fields of energy, critical minerals and rare earth and securing their supply chains, as well as infrastructure development.
