Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and the UAE
04 February, 2026On February 4, in Abu Dhabi, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdallah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The interlocutors discussed issues of the development of cooperation between Armenia and the UAE.
Both sides emphasized their readiness to expand cooperation in several areas alongside an active political dialogue. In this context, the foreign ministers of Armenia and the UAE discussed options for promoting trade, economic, and business ties, investment projects, the effective implementation of which could also be facilitated by the growing number of direct flights in recent years and the volume of tourism.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Abdallah bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged views on regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as initiatives aimed at its continuous strengthening. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity initiative, as a recognition of the established peace.
The meeting also discussed opportunities for regional connectivity and infrastructure network expansion. Humanitarian issues were also touched upon.
