Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement
30 January, 2026On January 29, in Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Marta Kos, EU Commissioner for Enlargement.
The interlocutors discussed a broad range of issues related to the implementation of the Armenia-EU Strategic Agenda, adopted last December.
The agenda of the upcoming Armenia-EU Summit in Yerevan in May, as well as forthcoming high-level visits were thoroughly touched upon. The mutual readiness to implement initiatives aimed at delivering new tangible results was emphasized.
The implementation of the Resilience and Growth Plan was touched upon. It was noted with satisfaction that on the same day the EU Council adopted a decision to provide the second assistance measure in support of Armenia under the European Peace Facility.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Marta Kos discussed ongoing efforts to advance democratic reforms and strengthen resilience.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the EU Commissioner also touched upon the programs for regional connectivity and infrastructure development in the conditions of the established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as other steps aimed at the further institutionalization of peace.
