On January 29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Armenia, Alfredo Fidel Nieves Portuondo (with residence in Astana), on the occasion of the presentation of the copies of his credentials.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan congratulated Ambassador Alfredo Nieves on assuming his post and wished him success in the fulfillment of his responsible mission.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon issues related to both bilateral and multilateral agendas, emphasizing the need to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

International and regional developments were also discussed. Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan briefed his interlocutor on developments in the South Caucasus, emphasizing the importance of institutionalizing peace in the region. The importance of implementing projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity was also highlighted.
