Meeting of the Secretary General of the MFA of Armenia with the Chancellor of the Lithuanian MFA
27 January, 2026On January 27, during a working visit to Lithuania, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Davit Karapetyan held a meeting with Aistė Stakėnienė, Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
The interlocutors discussed issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of deepening contacts and sectoral cooperation between the Foreign ministries of the two countries. Davit Karapetyan also presented to his counterpart the activities of Armenia’s Diplomatic School, reaffirming the Armenian side’s readiness to exchange experience with the Lithuanian side and to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.
Davit Karapetyan also held meetings with Odra Plepytė, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Laimonas Talat-Kelpša, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, and conducted working discussions with the heads of a number of sectoral departments.
The Secretary General of the MFA of Armenia briefed his Lithuanian counterparts on developments in the South Caucasus, highlighting in this context the adoption of the framework for the implementation of the “TRIPP” project by the governments of Armenia and the United States.
During the meetings, the parties also touched upon the preparatory work for the upcoming 8th Summit of the European Political Community to be held in Yerevan, views were exchanged on opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation within the framework of the strategic agenda of the Armenia–EU partnership.
