Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia received the Deputy Director of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia

On January 20, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received the Deputy Director and Head of the Central Asia and Eastern Neighbourhood Department at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Mark Clayton.

During the meeting, the dynamic deepening of political dialogue between Armenia and the United Kingdom was highlighted with satisfaction, and the current bilateral agenda was discussed. Views were exchanged on advancing joint efforts toward the development of a strategic partnership between the two countries.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on areas of cooperation aimed at effectively addressing challenges related to democratic development, including efforts to counter hybrid threats.

Mnatsakan Safaryan and Mark Clayton also touched upon developments in the South Caucasus, in particular the importance of unblocking the region under established peace, as well as the new economic opportunities emerging in this context.
