Meeting of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia with the Director General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece

On December 10, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Davit Karapetyan held a meeting with the Director General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece Andreas Friganas.

During the meeting, the sides broadly touched upon bilateral relations between Armenia and Greece, emphasizing the importance of further deepening cooperation between Armenia and Greece within the framework of the Armenia–EU partnership. In this context, they underscored the significance of the “Armenia–EU Strategic Partnership Agenda” signed on December 2.

The sides discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in economic, scientific-educational, cultural and other areas of mutual interest.

They highlighted the importance of institutionalizing the peace established in the South Caucasus following the Washington agreements, as well as the unblocking of regional communications.

Davit Karapetyan and Andreas Friganas also discussed efforts aimed at effectively addressing the challenges encountered on the path of democratic development and strengthening Armenia’s resilience in this context.

They also touched upon the preparatory work for the European Political Community Summit to be held in Yerevan in May of next year.
