Meeting of the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia with the Director of the OSCE/ODIHR
05 December, 2025On December 4 in Vienna Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Maria Telalian, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the main areas of engagement with ODIHR, noting with satisfaction the effective cooperation established in the continuous strengthening of democratic institutions and ensuring the rule of law.
The electoral processes were touched upon: Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Armenia views democracy itself as the primary source for continuous strengthening of the country’s resilience, and is therefore resolute in conducting electoral processes in full compliance with democratic standards. In this context, the importance of active cooperation with relevant international institutes, including ODIHR, was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan and the ODIHR Director also touched upon hybrid threats, including mechanisms for effectively countering disinformation, stressing readiness to cooperate actively in this area as well.
During the meeting views were also exchanged on regional developments.
