Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia with the President of Georgia

On November 14, in Tbilisi, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan was received by Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of Georgia.

The interlocutors discussed issues on the agenda of bilateral partnership between Armenia and Georgia. 

Both sides emphasized that Armenia and Georgia are united by the traditional friendship and commonalities between their peoples, mutual respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both states, as well as sustainable economic ties.

Touching upon regional issues, Minister Mirzoyan noted: “The beneficiaries of the established peace are not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also Georgia and the whole region. This will also enhance connectivity with a wider geography.” Minister Mirzoyan added that an organic continuation of this process would be the development of cooperation in the South Caucasus, including in the trilateral format. The President of Georgia expressed support for this vision.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the President of Georgia also exchanged views on the implementation of new initiatives on the path of the important mission of developing partnership between the two countries, and on issues of effective cooperation in overcoming challenges in the current conditions.
