The adoption of Armenia’s Fourth Universal Periodic Review Report at the 60th Session of the Human Rights Council

On 26 September 2025, in the framework of the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the outcome of the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Armenia was adopted in Geneva.

During the adoption of the outcome of the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Armenia, Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajian, the head of Armenian delegation and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, in her remarks underscored the importance of the UPR mechanism and recommendations addressed to Armenia aimed at further strengthening the human rights system.

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that Armenia has accepted the vast majority of the recommendations addressed to Armenia by the UN Member States during the discussion of the national report at the 49th session of the UPR Working Group on May 1, 2025. She reiterated Armenia's commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights, in line with the ongoing reforms in Armenia.

In her remarks, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Office at Geneva Hasmik Tolmajian outlined key priority areas for Armenia in the context of the UPR recommendations and ongoing national reforms, including in the fields of economic, social, cultural, political and civil rights.

During the adoption of the 4th cycle of the UPR report of Armenia, the Member States and сivil society representatives took the floor highlighting Armenia's continued commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights, as well as reaffirming their support for the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia.
