Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Angola

On September 25 in New York Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola Tete Antonio.

The interlocutors discussed opportunities for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Angola, which aligns with Armenia’s approach to fostering partnerships with African countries. The ministers emphasized innovative education, business ties and artificial intelligence as areas with tangible potential for cooperation.

To promote political dialogue and cooperation in the field of education between the two countries, Ararat Mirzoyan and Tete Antonio signed two Memoranda of Understanding:

  • Memorandum of Understanding Between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola on the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations,
  • Memorandum of Understanding For cooperation in the field of diplomatic education and training between the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Angola also outlined the importance of more active interaction on multilateral platforms.
