On September 24 in New York Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger.

The interlocutors discussed initiatives which are aimed at dynamic development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Austria.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Beate Meinl-Reisinger exchanged views on the prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated Austria’s support for various initiatives, particularly emphasizing the need for continued efforts to enhance people-to-people contacts and expand market access. 

Mechanisms for effective cooperation in overcoming challenges faced on the path of democratic reforms were also touched upon.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Beate Meinl-Reisinger also discussed regional developments and issues of cooperation on multilateral platforms.
