Armenia participated in Africa Climate Summit
10 September, 2025On September 8-10, the Delegation of the Republic of Armenia, participated in the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2) held in Addis Ababa.
In his remarks, Ambassador Mher Margaryan, the Head of the Negotiating Team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, emphasized Armenia's readiness to expand cooperation with African partners, stressing shared challenges and mutual interests in the field of biodiversity.
Mher Margaryan also reiterated Armenia's readiness to raise the concerns of vulnerable regions, foster inclusive partnerships, and mobilize international financial resources within the framework of its COP17 Presidency, scheduled for 2026.
During the visit, Ambassador Margaryan held bilateral meetings with African partners to discuss prospects for enhanced cooperation, including in the context of the COP-17 conference.
