The delegation of the Republic of Armenia participated in the 109th session of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

On July 8 to 11, the delegation of the Republic of Armenia, led by Arman Hovhannisyan, the Head of  the International Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the 109th session of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) which took place in The Hague.

During the session, the head of the Armenian delegation delivered a national statement, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation in achieving the objectives of the Chemical Weapons Convention and reaffirmed Armenia’s firm commitment to the complete elimination of the use of chemical weapons and related hazardous substances.  

Arman Hovhannisyan presented Armenia’s positions on key developments within the OPCW, underlining the country’s consistently constructive and principled stance. The head of the Armenian delegation reiterated Armenia’s readiness to play a more active role in the organization's activities.

Throughout the session, the Armenian delegation held a series of bilateral contacts, exchanging views on current issues and the positions of OPCW States Parties.
