Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan with President of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the ICC Päivi Kaukoranta
06 July, 2025On July 6, in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Päivi Kaukoranta, the President of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The interlocutors exchanged views on the agenda items of the Special Session on the Review of the Amendments on the Crime of Aggression, to be held on July 7-9. The parties emphasized the pivotal role of international law in safeguarding international peace and security.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan underscored the importance of responsible state conduct in the face of threats to international peace and security, reiterating the commitment of Armenia to the implementation of all its international obligations.
During the meeting, efforts aimed at ensuring the primacy of law in international relations were also touched upon.
