Foreign Minister of Armenia Receives Ambassador of Sweden on the Occasion of the Completion of His Mission

On July 4, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia Patrik Svensson, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. 

Minister Mirzoyan underlined Ambassador Svensson’s significant contribution to the development and strengthening of Armenia-Sweden relations in his capacity as the first resident ambassador of Sweden in Armenia, noting that his tenure coincided with a challenging period both globally and particularly for Armenia.

The significant intensification of political dialogue between Armenia and Sweden in recent years, along with the expansion of cooperation within the frameworks of the EU and Nordic-Baltic countries, was mutually acknowledged with satisfaction. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with Sweden in supporting the development of democratic institutions in Armenia and the assistance provided by Sweden to refugees forcibly displaced from NK.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Patrik Svensson underscored the clear mutual understanding regarding the prospects for further development of the partnership between the two countries.

For his effective work and contribution to advancing bilateral relations, Minister Mirzoyan awarded Ambassador Patrik Svensson the Medal of Honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
