On June 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with the Vice-President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

The interlocutors discussed the situation in the region, including developments related to Iran. They exchanged views on the efforts aimed at ensuring regional stability. In the context of humanitarian issues, the possibility of evacuating third-country nationals from Iran through the territory of Armenia, as well as the figures recorded in this regard were touched upon.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the EU High Representative also touched upon the recent developments in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Touching upon cooperation between Armenia and EU, Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas exchanged views on the agenda of upcoming engagements.
