The meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan with Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights Enrique Javier Ochoa Martínez

On June 13, on the sidelines of the Third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC), Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Enrique Javier Ochoa Martínez, the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights.

During the meeting, Armenia-Mexico bilateral agenda topics were discussed, touching upon the prospects of promoting the political dialogue.

The interlocutors commended the positive cooperation established between Armenia and Mexico within multilateral platforms, and expressed mutual willingness to further enhance the scope of the partnership. The parties also exchanged views on the prospects of the “UN80” initiative.

The ongoing preparatory work for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be hosted by Armenia in 2026 was touched upon.

During the meeting the interlocutors also touched upon the urgent regional and international issues. At the request of his counterpart, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed on the current security situation in the South Caucasus, underlining the importance of signing the Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
