Consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Turkmenistan were held
11 June, 2025On June 11, at the initiative of the Turkmen side, regular consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Turkmenistan were held in Yerevan.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Arthur Petrosyan, the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the Turkmen delegation was headed by Dovletmurat Muratov, the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The agenda of the consultations included issues on the implementation of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of April 24, 1963; cooperation between the sides within the framework of the Minsk Convention of 1993 “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters”, and the protection of the rights and lawful interests of citizens.
To further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation, the Turkmen side also proposed considering possible amendments and additions to the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Mutual Visits of Citizens, signed in 1999.
