First political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Ethiopia
09 June, 2025On June 09, in Addis Ababa, the first political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Hadera Abera.
During the consultations, the parties noted with satisfaction the recent positive developments in bilateral relations, touched upon the deepening of cooperation in various areas, in particular, education, information technologies, digitalization, healthcare, capacity building, and the prospects for activating trade and economic ties.
The sides also exchanged views on regional developments in the South Caucasus and the African continent.
Deputy Minister Kostanyan elaborated on the current developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey normalization processes, as well as the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" project aimed at unblocking regional communications.
