Closed-door discussion on the topic “Security challenges in the Modern world” within the framework of Yerevan Dialogue
27 May, 2025On May 27, a closed door discussion entitled "Security Challenges in the Modern World" was held within the framework of Yerevan Dialogue second international conference, which was chaired by Secretary General of the MFA Davit Karapetyan. Kristinne Grigoryan, the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Armenia, delivered remarks as a distinguished guest.
The diverse security challenges that states face in a rapidly changing global environment were discussed. Participants exchanged views on increasing resilience, building trustworthy partnerships, and maintaining a balance between internal stability and external pressures.
The crucial role of regional cooperation was also highlighted, particularly in enhancing the security of small and medium-sized states.
The discussion addressed the effective management of both internal and external threats, highlighting the challenges of countering multiple risks, including those posed by non-state actors, terrorism, and cyberattacks.
