On November 30, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation led by Raimundas Lopata, the head of the Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Armenia of the Seimas of Lithuania.

Welcoming the visit of the deputies of Seimas to Armenia the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the high level and the obtained dynamics of the current relations with Lithuania. Paruyr Hovhannisyan stressed the importance of strengthening the inter-parliamentary ties between two countries and in this context highlighted the visit of the Seimas delegation headed by the Deputy Speaker Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė to Armenia last month.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the process of democratic reforms in Armenia,  the Armenian-Lithuanian bilateral agenda, as well as the steps taken tou deepening the Armenia-EU partnership.

At the request of the Lithuanian side, the Deputy Minister referred to the security situation around Armenia, as well as the steps taken to normalize the relations with Azerbaijan. Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Government of Armenia and the effective unblocking of regional communications, as well as the importance of creating beneficial interconnectivity.
