Meeting with the head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs

On October 4, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation led by Mohan Ramesh Rajasingham, Head and Representative of OCHA in Geneva and Director of the Coordination Division, for a short conversation.

Minister Mirzoyan expressed Armenia's disappointment with the factual inaction of the UN for several months regarding the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as strong dissatisfaction with the visit of the delegation led by the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan to Nagorno-Karabakh on October 1 and the press release on its "results”.

Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the concerns and main points that were included in the comment made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

During the discussion continued with Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, an exchange of views took place on the humanitarian situation resulting from the forced displacement of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and on the necessary steps to address the existing problems.
