The newly appointed Ambassador of Poland handed over a copy of credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On June 26, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the Ambassador of Poland to Armenia Piotr Skwieciński,  on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan congratulated Аmbassador Skwieciński on his appointment and expressed hope that his tenure will mark the progress and success in relations between Armenia and Poland.

The parties touched upon the cooperation agenda between Armenia and Poland at bilateral and multilateral levels, highlighted the importance of maintaining the current dynamics of political dialogue, emphasized the significance of expanding close and effective partnership in the spheres of trade, investment, culture, education, and etc. The importance of the 7-th session of the Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation to be held this week, as an effective platform to enhance bilateral sectoral cooperation, was highlighted.

Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed his counterpart on the security situation in the region and the efforts of Armenia towards establishing peace. The sides touched upon the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the need of addressing the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. The imperative of unblocking the Lachin corridor, as well as the need for Azerbaijan to refrain from its aggressive rhetoric and the threat of use of force, was underlined.
