The newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania handed over a copy of credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On June 26, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Andrius Pulokas, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia, on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

The Deputy Foreign Minister extended his congratulations to Ambassador Pulokas on the occasion of his appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a productive tenure in his important mission. He assured that the newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to further strengthening and deepening relations between Armenia and Lithuania.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as Armenia-EU cooperation. The sides expressed readiness to exert all efforts to fully realize the existing potential of bilateral cooperation. 

The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed the Ambassador on the recent developments of the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. In this context, the importance of the deployment of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia was highlighted. The Deputy Minister touched upon the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan, the new encroachments on the sovereign territory of Armenia, the steps towards normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
