On June 6, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

The interlocutors discussed issues of regional security and stability. In this context, the recent discussions on the normalization process of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan were touched upon. The importance of continuing the process without bellicose rhetoric and in an environment free from threat of use of force was underlined.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Armenian side to establishing lasting peace in the region, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of maintaining the mutual commitment to addressing the existing key issues with the aim of a comprehensive settlement and the continuous efforts of international partners in that direction.
