The newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia handed over a copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On February 24, Vahan Kostanyan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, received George Sharvashidze, the newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia, on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Congratulating the newly appointed Ambassador, Deputy Foreign Minister wished success in his difficult and responsible mission. The interlocutors highly appreciated the development dynamics of relations between Armenia and Georgia, discussed a wide range of bilateral issues..

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of implementing projects in various fields, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia.

The Deputy Minister presented to the newly appointed Ambassador the efforts of the Government of Armenia towards establishing stability and peace in the region. The Ambassador was provided with information about the humanitarian crisis unfolded in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.
