The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia received the delegation of special envoys of the EU and EU member states on Eastern Partnership

On November 15, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation of special envoys of the EU and EU member states on Eastern Partnership.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented the reforms implemented by the Armenian government in various fields, the steps undertaken towards promoting democracy, protecting human rights and strengthening the rule of law.

Issues on the Armenia-EU bilateral agenda and the implementation process of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement were discussed. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of developing multi-sectoral cooperation with the EU through continuous and active steps, including within the framework of the Eastern Partnership noting that there is a high-level political dialogue with the EU based on common values. The sides exchanged views on the activity and significance of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia.

Minister Mirzoyan briefed the interlocutors the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression of September 13-14, touched upon the position of the Armenian side regarding the normalization of the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia stressed that the maximalist approaches of Azerbaijan continue to obstruct the establishment of stability and peace in the region.

During the meeting, the developments of border delimitation and border security processes, regional economic ties and unblocking of transport infrastructures were also discussed.
