Ceremony of exchanging congratulatory letters on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan

On September 7, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Fukushima Masanori.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Minister and the Ambassador exchanged congratulatory letters of the Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Japan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, highlighting the importance of the anniversary in terms of further development of bilateral agenda.

Both sides stressed the development and strengthening of Armenian-Japanese relations, as well as the activation of cooperation on bilateral and multilateral platforms. The Deputy Minister Vahe Gevorgyan highly appreciated numerous programs implemented by Japan since the independence of Armenia aimed at promoting the capabilities of Armenia. In his turn, Ambassador Fukushima stressed that Japan considers Armenia as an important partner in terms of establishing a free and open world.

The interlocutors also referred to the activation of political, economic and cultural ties and cooperation, expressing hope that the 30-year history of establishing diplomatic relations will serve as a good start to the implementation of joint projects.
