Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Argentina

On August 16, the new phase of political consultations was held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Argentina at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina.

The consultations were held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Deputy Minister of MRECIC of Argentina Pablo Tettamanti.

The interlocutors discussed the positive course of bilateral traditionally friendly relations. The regular Armenian-Argentine political dialogue, the expansion of the legal framework, the development of trade-economic and inter-parliamentary ties were highlighted.

The parties touched upon the cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

Reference was made to the urgent issues of the regional and international agenda.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented the situation created around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the importance of the process of its peaceful settlement in order to establish stable peace in the South Caucasus.

On the same day, Santiago Cafiero, the Minister of  Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina received  the Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Armenia. During the meeting, the results of the political consultations and reached agreements were summarized, issues of deepening the  Armenian-Argentinian friendly relations were discussed.

During the visit to Argentina, the delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia was received by the Minister of Culture Tristán Bauer, the Minister of Defense Jorge Taiana, the members of the Foreign Relations and Worship Committee of the Senate and the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Foreign Relations and Worship Committee Eduardo Valdes.
