On June 23, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received Janitha A. Liyanage, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (with residence in Moscow), on the occasion of presenting the copy of his credentials.

Deputy Minister Safaryan congratulated Ambassador Liyanage upon the assumption of this responsible position, expressing confidence that she will contribute to the further strengthening and deepening of the relations between Armenia and Sri Lanka.

Both sides expressed willingness to make every effort aimed at full realization of the potential in the areas of mutual interest, in particular in the fields of medical education, information technology, air transport, trade and tourism.

Deputy Minister Safaryan and Ambassador Liyanage highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation within the framework of international platforms.
