Meeting of Foreign Minister of Ararat Mirzoyan with Foreign Minister of Serbia Nikola Selaković

On May 20, on the margins of the 132nd session of CoE Committee of Foreign Ministers in Turin, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Serbia Nikola Selaković.

The Ministers commended the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations, and expressed readiness to promote the Armenian-Serbian relations based on historical and friendly ties.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation within the international organizations, particularly the Council of Europe based on common interests.

Issues of mutual interest within regional and international agenda were also discussed.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia's position on the establishment of regional peace and stability and the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They also touched upon humanitarian issues, in particular, the need for repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees, and protection of Armenian cultural and religious heritage in the territories fallen under the control of Azerbaijan.

Foreign Minister of Armenia presented to his counterpart the details of the normalization process between Armenia and Turkey.
