On March 4 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants the Republic of Lebanon Abdallah Bou Habib exchanged congratulatory letters on the occasion of 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Lebanon.

In his letter Ararat Mirzoyan noted, that 30 years ago the establishment of diplomatic relations retained the centuries-old friendship of our nations with the start of interstate cooperation. He underlined the unique and invaluable role of the Armenian Community of Lebanon in strengthening the relationship of two brotherly countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia emphasized, that centennial amity of two people created a strong base to form comprehensive field of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as wide range of interpersonal communications, which has especially been featured as facing side by side the challenges and hard times with readiness and persistence.

Highly valuating warm traditions of Armenian-Lebanese relations Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his confidence that through joint efforts the all-round cooperation can be enriched with new content to the benefit of two countries and peoples.

In his letter Abdallah Bou Habib underlined, that 30th anniversary of establishment Lebanese-Armenian diplomatic relations is being celebrated with full determination on enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Foreign Minister of Lebanon noted, that the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Armenia was the natural continuation of historic people to people ties, where the Armenian Community of Lebanon has its special and important role as an integral part of Lebanon’s social fabric.

Minister Bou Habib attached the importance of deeply-rooted friendship between two countries and two people in times of peace and in times of hardship commending the Armenian participation in UNIFIL and assuring Lebanon’s steadfast support of Armenia’s security and territorial integrity.
