On December 22, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

A wide range of issues related to the implementation process of the agreements reached in the Sochi Trilateral Statement of November 26 was touched upon during the conversation.

The importance of undertaking steps aimed at de-escalating the situation and increasing the level of stability and security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as well as the establishment of mechanisms for delimitation and demarcation of the border was emphasized.
