Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan with Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan

On December 2, in the margins of the 28th OSCE Ministerial Council, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan underscored the importance of developing the Armenian-Kazakh relations based on mutual respect and trust, reiterating the interest in deepening the political dialogue both within the framework of bilateral and integration unions and international organizations. In this regard, high-level reciprocal visits and consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs were emphasized.

In the context of boosting trade-economic cooperation between the two countries, Ministers Mirzoyan and Tleuberdi highlighted the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The role of resumption of direct flights was also underlined.

The interlocutors touched upon the agenda of cooperation in educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The parties also exchanged views on international and regional security issues.

In the course of the meeting, Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan signed the 2022-2023 Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
