Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus

On October 5, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus Anikka Söder.

Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted the role of the OSCE as a regional organization based on the concept of comprehensive and cooperative security. In this context, the Minister emphasized the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and his Personal Representative.

In the context of addressing the humanitarian issues resulting from the 44-day war, the need for the immediate repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and captured civilians held in Azerbaijan was particularly stressed.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia underlined that lasting peace in the region can be achieved through a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
