Meeting of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan with Foreign Minister of Romania Bogdan Aurescu

On September 24, within the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Foreign Minister of Romania Bogdan Aurescu.

The interlocutors discussed further development of the Armenian-Romanian historical friendly relations based on mutual trust.

The deepening of political dialogue between the two countries was discussed, special attention was paid to the prospects of bilateral economic cooperation, especially in the field of information technologies.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Bogdan Aurescu exchanged views on Armenia-EU partnership, effective implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the agenda of the Eastern Partnership program.

Touching upon the situation resulting from the Azerbaijani aggression, Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the imperative of unconditional repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and captured civilians held in Azerbaijan. The resumption of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peace process under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship was emphasized.
