On September 23, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, on the margins of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly, met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.

Minister Ararat Mirzoyan drew his interlocutor's attention to the situation resulting from the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression unleashed against Artsakh and the following humanitarian issues. He particularly stressed the need to create conditions for the displaced Armenians of Artsakh to return to their homeland and to ensure the provision of their needs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs especially stressed the importance of implementation of humanitarian mission in Artsakh by international organizations, considering unacceptable the politicization of these issues and the creation of artificial obstacles by Azerbaijan.
