Newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria presented the copies of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister

On September 23, Armen Ghevondyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia  received Yakubo Santuraki Suleiman, newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Armenia, on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials (residence in Tehran).

Extending his congratulations to the Ambassador, Armen Ghevondyan wished him success in his mission and expressed hope that the Ambassador would contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude to the Deputy Minister, the Ambassador of Nigeria mentioned that he would try to give a new impetus to the cooperation between Armenia and Nigeria.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of making joint efforts to promote the bilateral cooperation in the fields of information technology, education, agriculture, etc.

At the Ambassador’s request, the Deputy Foreign Minister presented the approaches of the Armenian side with regard to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, emphasizing the necessity to resume the peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship. The two parties underlined the importance of resolving the conflicts through peaceful means.
