Political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Russia

On April 15 political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation took place in Yerevan with the participation of Armen Ghevondyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Aleksandr Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

During the consultations a wide range of current issues related to the interaction within the CIS and cooperation within the format of the CSTO was discussed. Several aspects of integration processes in the framework EEU were also addressed.  

The sides stressed the importance of continuity of the coordinating approaches development process in the context of effective implementation of statutory and treaty objectives of the mentioned multilateral unions. 

The heads of the delegations presented the outcomes of the consultations during the subsequent meeting with Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan.
