Phone conversation of the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian with the Foreign Minister of Spain Arancha González Laya

On March 21, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain Arancha González Laya.

The Foreign Ministers commended development dynamics of the Armenian-Spanish friendly relations, exchanged views on the prospects of strengthening and deepening cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest.

During the conversation the sides exchanged views on a number of issues of Armenia-EU partnership agenda, on the forthcoming agenda of the Eastern Partnership and the EaP post-2020 objectives. Both sides expressed conviction that the full and effective implementation of CEPA will bring a new tangible impetus to the promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the EU and EU member states.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Spain also touched upon issues of regional stability, security, as well as humanitarian issues. Minister Aivazian briefed his counterpart on the difficult situation unfolded in Artsakh and the steps undertaken to address them, emphasizing the importance of involvement of the international community and relevant specialized organizations on the ground.
