On March 8, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Cuba Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. 

Both sides stressed the willingness to undertake steps towards promotion of the Armenian-Cuban political dialogue and strengthening the cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The importance of closer cooperation within the framework of international organizations was highlighted as well.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cuba exchanged views on the integration processes, particularly, the prospects of cooperation within the EAEU. In this regard, Minister Aivazian stressed the importance of expanding the geographical borders of the foreign economic relations of the Eurasian Economic Union. Ministers Ara Aivazian and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla expressed confidence that the status of an observer state will enable Cuba to cooperate more effectively with the EAEU member states, especially in the fields of industry, healthcare, energy, transport and agriculture.

The interlocutors have also touched upon a number of issues on the international and regional agenda during the phone conversation.
