The newly appointed Ambassador of Argentina handed the copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

On February 22, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to the Republic of Armenia Mariano Vergara handed over the copy of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Aivazian. The Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Vergara on assuming this responsible position, expressing confidence that the Ambassador will make his unique contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-Argentinian friendly relations and the further development of the interstate ties.

The interlocutors reiterated their mutual willingness to undertake steps towards activating political dialogue, developing mutually beneficial cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, and fully realizing the existing potential. As the main directions of cooperation the sides emphasized the following fields: trade-economic, scientific-educational, culture and sports.

Minister Ayvazyan and Ambassador Vergara highly assessed the role of the Argentinian-Armenian community in the strengthening of the friendship between Armenia and Argentina and advancing the bilateral agenda.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on regional security and stability.
