Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts met with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Fan Yong

On December 17, Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts met with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Fan Yong. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as the situation in the region.

The Deputy Foreign Minister informed the Ambassador on the situation in Artsakh due to the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression and the measures to be taken to address it. The issues of regional security and stability were touched upon.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia noted that deepening the cooperation with China is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of Armenia, the parties effectively cooperate within the framework of international organizations. Armenia has always supported China in the implementation of the "one China" policy.

Ambassador Fan Yong noted that traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and China contribute to the enhancement of cooperation in all directions. The Ambassador noted that China adheres to the principle of mutual respect for state sovereignty, territorial integrity, China and Armenia always support each other in key issues.

The interlocutors exchanged views on enriching the bilateral agenda between Armenia and China, on intensifying the existing dialogue, as well as the steps to continue the joint work in trade, investment, technical and economic spheres.
