Newly appointed Ambassador of Estonia handed the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister

On December 7, Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts received the newly appointed Ambassador of Estonia Riina Kaljurand (residence in Tbilisi) on the occasion of handing the copies of her credentials.

Deputy Minister Adonts congratulated Riina Kaljurand on assuming the responsible mission and expressed confidence that the newly appointed Ambassador will make her contribution to strengthening bilateral friendly relations between Armenia and Estonia, as well as further expanding the bilateral agenda.

Expressing gratitude for the warm wishes, Ambassador Kaljurand conveyed to Deputy Minister Adonts the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of bilateral agenda, emphasizing the need for undertaking joint steps to fully utilize the existing potential in the spheres of trade and economic, information technologies, and environment. The sides touched upon the issues related to RA-EU cooperation prospects.

The Deputy Foreign Minister comprehensively informed the Ambassador on the situation and the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh resulting from the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression. In this regard, Deputy Minister Adonts highlighted the importance of the possible support of the international community.

The newly appointed Ambassador expressed hope that the negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh will continue within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Estonian Ambassador exchanged views on regional and international issues.
